The Unity "Clone War" Project

Learning Unity in 18 weeks. How we’ve been teaching ourselves to make games in Unity and also giving ourselves a history lesson along the way.

Learning a new programming language can be a challenge. Learning a gaming engine from scratch can be an even greater challenge. Having little scripting experience and very little digital game experience, my game development partner and I needed a way to force ourselves to learn how to create games in Unity. The solution we came up with was the “Clone Wars” project. The purpose of the project was to go through 20+ years of gaming history and create clones of some of the most groundbreaking games of their time…in Unity.
